What I’ve Been Loving: March Favourites

March has been an exciting month. The sun has finally come out (albeit briefly), I’ve visited some amazing restaurants, gone along to a silly amount of brunches, booked my holidays for the coming year and I launched my blog! Starting a blog was something that I had been wanting to do for such a long time and at the end of February I finally decided to just go for it! Since then, I completely regret putting it off for so long and its absolutely been my favourite thing about March!

So, while blogging has made my number one spot, here’s a little selection of what else I’ve been loving this month!

Beauty Favourite

Smashbox Always On Matte Liquid Lipstick in Stepping OutThis liquid lipsticks is honestly one of most glorious things I’ve ever used on my lips. The colour is gorgeous: a highly pigmented pinky toned brown that is really flattering and doesn’t dry my lips out. What’s more, when I head off to work I don’t even bother putting this in my handbag, I’m that confident that it will stay put for the entire day.

Skincare Favourite
Rodial Dragon’s Blood Cleansing WaterOne of my most hated jobs is removing make-up after a night out, when I want nothing more than to curl up in bed and sleep for twelve hours. Whilst I had used Garnier’s cult micellar water many times, I had never tried a more high end offering. This all changed however on a recent trip to Space.NK. when I picked up this cleansing water. Rather than drying out my skin like cleansing wipes or some micellar waters, this one removes all traces of makeup whilst also hydrating. Though I wouldn’t recommend using this every day, as nothing can beat a full cleanse and tone, it is perfect for those nights when you simply can’t bring yourself to do the whole routine.

Haircare favourite

Kevin Murphy Angel Wash and Angel RinseEver since I paid a visit to Blush & Blow in Parson’s Green for a blow dry, I’ve longed to be able to achieve the same effect with my own, heavily dyed, dry hair at home. Whilst it was tempting to sign up for Blush & Blow‘s unlimited blow dries package, I simply couldn’t fit in that many visits to the salon in a month for it to be worth it. So, I decided to head back and buy the products they’d used on my hair to see if that could make a difference.

Though the Angel Wash and Rinse range is intended for thin hair, I have very thick hair and have had no problems with it. My hair is always left feeling super soft and easy to style. The shampoo and conditioner also smell incredible, with a grapefruit scent that seems natural rather than overpowering and synthetic like so many.

Since receiving this candle as one of my birthday presents from my cousin Chloe over at The Gastronomic Gorman back in November I have been rationing my burning of it: I just wanted to savour it that much! The smell of this candle (intensely floral but also fresh and relaxing) completely transports me back to the Riad I stayed at during my time in Marrakesh with Chloe, and is perfect for burning on lazy Sunday afternoons or even before bed.

Food Favourite
Brunch at The Ivy, Chelsea GardenHaving visited here twice during the month of March, I must admit I am loving The Ivy Chelsea Garden for brunch lately. Though I have admired The Ivy Chelsea Garden since its opening as the perfect little spot for lunch during a shopping day in Chelsea, or a dinner spot to finish such a day, I can’t help but feel that they absolutely excel themselves with their brunch.Read more in my full review of my most recent visit to The Ivy.

Home Favourite
Fresh Flowers from Bloom & Wild
There’s just something I absolutely love about having flowers in my house, especially as we move more towards Spring/Summer and I have long been a fan of Bloom & Wild. The innovative box in which the flowers are delivered means that they fit right through the letterbox, whilst also looking perfect from the moment you pop open the box. Practical and gorgeous!

Bonus Favourite
Wild Nutrition Food Grown Daily Multi Nutrient
In the same vein as changing up my skincare products, I also decided to start taking a multivitamin, since I’m probably not necessarily having my five a day everyday and getting all of the vitamins I should. In the month I’ve been using this I have noticed that my skin has become clearer, my nails have become stronger and I’ve had much more energy. Love it!
Next month I’m looking forward to…
Afternoon Tea at The LandmarkWhat have you been loving this month?
